about
The track is clearly very reminiscent of Silver Apple's Oscillation. This is intentional, since the song talks about plagiarism as an art form (that's the Russian name). The song acts as an object of criticism (pretty much all the songs in this album are more "objects", rather than songs themselves). It talks about the delicate line that separates plagiarism and inspiration. Also, it makes a strong critic on how many artists nowadays take what other artists did sometime in the past, specially unknown or very underground artists, and how they take those ideas very explicitly to the current context, and pretend their work is based on their very own ideas and plunder something that doesn't really belong or correspond to them. It is very easy to let go by the whole hype of a certain type of music, or art, or behaviour, without actually understanding the real origins.
lyrics
Time, combined, alter, the slide, the cars, are stars, that break, your eyes. The mood, invoke, a still, a smile, of some... thing old, that sways, your mind. Fluctuate, hover, slay, the scribe, abducted, sudden, embrace, the hype. The pundit, it plummet, a vase, of ire, the novice, it plunder, attains, the slime.
