The recording process was really random. I had that tune in my head, and didn't want to forget it. I had a microphone set in the studio and recorded it, just humming the notes with random sounds/words. I recorded it a few times, and then just playing around with reverb came up with the idea of making a situation in which some Tibetan monks are chanting a mantra within a very large gothic cathedral. Then their chant is mixed with a western kind of music: A requiem. The thing with this song is about how we finally got time to be with ourselves for a long time, and it's a good time to meditate and think about us, mistakes in the past, our wrong attitudes, where we were, where we are, and where we are going. It's an invitation to explore the "inner space".
